Canada Emergency Business Account (CEBA)

The CEBA program offered interest-free loans of up to $60,000 to small businesses and not-for-profits. Deadlines for applying to CEBA have passed. For past applicants who received a loan, the Government of Canada has announced that
- the December 31, 2022 forgiveness repayment date is extended to December 31, 2023 for eligible CEBA loan holders in good standing. If you qualify for the new extended term, you will be contacted with details regarding the new repayment date.
Repaying the balance of the loan will result in loan forgiveness of 33 percent (up to $20,000).
No new applications
Applicants can no longer:
- Apply for a $60,000 CEBA loan or the $20,000 expansion
- Submit additional information related to their Business Number
- Requalify under the Non-Deferrable Expense Stream
Applicants seeking updates on application status
Applicants can check the status of their CEBA loan online at https://status-statut.ceba-cuec.ca/. Applicants may also call the CEBA Call Centre at 1-888-324-4201, available Monday to Friday from 9AM to 6PM Eastern Standard Time, excluding statutory holidays.
